襖や屏風、掛け軸といった和のしつらえに携わり、それにまつわる様々な素材のスペシャリストである職人とのかかわり合いの中で、手仕事によるものづくりの魅力も大変さもそばで見て感じてきました。その思いを大切に現代のライフスタイルに新たな京からかみとしてご提案をしていきたいと考えています。

We entered the world of Kyoto-style tableware in 1902.
I have been involved in the production of fusuma (sliding doors), folding screens, scrolls and other Japanese decorations, and through my involvement with artisans who are specialists in the various materials involved, I have seen and felt the appeal and difficulty of handcrafting. With this in mind, we would like to propose a new style of Kyoto karakami for the modern lifestyle.
