塗師職人の小畑夫妻が率いる塗師集団。仏壇・仏具の新調や修復、オリジナルインテリアや独自の表現作品の制作を行う。現代美術家・名和晃平氏の彫刻作品「Throne」の塗装と磨きも手掛けるなど、多様な刷毛とスプレーガンを用いた天然漆の塗装や磨き技術を応用して、漆表現の可能性を広げている。

A group of lacquerers led by Mr. and Mrs. Obata, lacquer craftspeople. They are involved in the refurbishing and restoration of Buddhist altars and altar equipment, as well as the creation of original interiors and unique works of expression. They have also worked on the painting and polishing of contemporary artist Kohei Nawa’s sculpture “Throne”, and are expanding the possibilities of lacquer expression by applying natural lacquer painting and polishing techniques using a variety of brushes and spray guns.
