京都で創業１００年近くを誇る老舗の金彩工房。２代目は瑞宝単光章を受章、３代目は京の名工を受彰。後継者問題で悩まされている伝統工芸社会の中で４代目が後継し、京友禅に留まらず他分野への金彩加工を模索している。幅広い加工技術を持っているため、仕事の内容は多岐にわたる。

A long-established kinsai workshop in Kyoto, established nearly 100 years ago; the second generation was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, and the third generation is a master craftsman in Kyoto. The fourth generation succeeded him in a traditional craft society plagued by the problem of successors, and is now seeking to apply kinsai processing not only to Kyo-yuzen but also to other fields. His wide range of processing techniques means that his work is diverse.
